Please remove the monitor itself from the machine. Make a note where the wires and connections go. You should just have a 12"x12" cube (approx) with the monitor picture tube and its associated circuit boards inside its metal casing, like in the photograph of the monitors above.

Normally, we do not require the complete control, and if you send it to us there is a chance of damage in transit. Monitors usually only require the removal of half a dozen screws and a couple of plugs to get them out. If in doubt please call.

If you are sending by courier please make sure the monitor is well packed. Pack the unit in a plastic bag or wrap in cling film. Then pack inside a stout cardboard box with plenty of thick layers of bubble wrap or styrene bubble foam all around. The most delicate part of the monitor is the socket end of the cathode ray tube behind the screen and the printed circuit board that plugs into it. Please make sure that this area is well protected - the opposite end (screen) of the tube is quite strong as the glass is about 1/2" thick. Remember, your monitor is extremely fragile, containing glass! If it's damaged in transit it may be irrepairable and end up costing you £1000's! If you are not entirely happy, pack that box in a bigger box with more packing around it. Mark the box "Fragile". Our address is below.

We use Secuicor www.securicor.co.uk as our couriers. They include insurance in their rates, providing the item is well packed. Please do not book a pre-9am delivery because we don't open until then and may not get your screen until afternoon! If your monitor is desperately needed please phone us to tell us it's coming so we can be ready to get straight to work when it arrives.
